Delete your account

You can delete your The Smart Parent account and its data at any time, from the mobile app or from the web app at parent.smartware.africa.

How to delete your account

• Sign in to the app, or at parent.smartware.africa.
• Open the menu (top right) and choose Settings.
• Choose Delete account, confirm your password and tap Delete my account.

What is deleted

Deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes:

• Your profile: name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, status and number of children
• Your profile photo
• Your questions, their photos and all responses to them
• Your responses and upvotes on other questions
• The private messages you sent, and your name and photo in conversations (the other person keeps the messages they sent)
• Your list of blocked users
• Your sign-in account

What is kept

Reports you sent about other content are kept so moderators can finish reviewing them. They are deleted once reviewed.

Can't sign in?

Email parent@smartware.africa from the address you registered with and ask us to delete your account. We will delete it within 30 days.
